We have spare mikrotik routers already configured so if any router is down we can switch instantly.

We will need some 24 port switches though.We have one backup 24port switch to replace our main switch(server room switch).We have few backup 8 port switches to replace any switch located in main hall/small hall.

Regarding security, all the servers that have real ip, we are using port forwarding which adds a extra layer of security to prevent access from outside,hacking etc.

All routers are configures with firewall, router access is block from outside,all unnecessary ports are blocked.So we are good with security.

i just want to recap this.

clarify for me our MAIN GATEWAY part of our network...

firewall, mikroteks, back up devices etc.

basically... what will happen if a key device is damaged (what are the key devices) and how protected are we from outside intrusion - malware, hacking, virus
