Hello Rob,

We moved from multipoint 2012 to windows server 2016 which are windows 10 adjacent. Windows defender is configured so we are protected.

We have 2 laptop that are still on windows 7.Khukon and Tims laptop.Both laptops config is too low to be moved to windows 10.Remaining laptops are moved to windows 10. Unfortunately no 3rd party antivirus provide any installation file for windows 7 anymore.

And as all laptops and multipoint servers are on windows 10, there is nothing to be checked actually.When IT executives do weekly maintainence they check if antivirus database is upto date.

update me on this please. are we fully protected everywhere? be honest...

how are we protected? what systems are we implementing and ensuring that we dont get taken down?

and what checks are you doing or have done routinely to ensure we are safe?

i am a bit worried that you are blindly trusting your IT execs without looking into things yourself. 

Yes mate i have provided him download link. Instruct him which pc's he need to install today. Once installed he will give me anydesk access so that i can optimize the antivirus software. Then we will observe if it decreases server performence or block any port or site. Once we have done all testing i will give him a list and date to complete the remaining task

and i hope you ahve given your staff, in this case Martin, very simple and specific instructions? like robotic style.

if you say to him "get bit defenders installed everywhere"  -that is not robotic enough.

more robotic is "get bit difender on 5 machiens each day, so it will take you 5 days to complete 25 machines. do only 5 machiens each day"

such an instruction will help martin also manage any other task he has.

We have start rolling out bitdefender antivirus on multipoint and windows 7 machines. By end of this week we will complete installing it on all computers and servers
