Hello Oscar,

This topic we discussed when Rob was in BD. As we have seen not all web developers understand the right way to do coding. the right techniques, principles, structure etc. Developers can do coding, but they do not know appropriate way to do it . For example suppose in any of our website a mail function is needed in 5 places. We have seen many developers use the same function in those 5 places, but appropriate way is to use the Mail function 1 time, and each time the function is needed they should just call the function.No need to write the same code again and again.

so we need to solve this isse for ONGOING work - whether we have 1 web developer or 10, everyone needs to follow the right techinques and standards.

this means we need 2 things:

1. we need to test a developers UNDERSTANDING of coding practices by doing a test (adding a test on exam function by HR)
2. writing a coding standards guide which outlines our coding rules - which mostly scott and oscar can do for you - and you just need to review, edit, structure the doucments properly. i will also review this document to imporve.

We will focus on point 1 first. Could you please prepare a task? Rob will review and after that HR will add the task to Exam site. From now on all developers will have to complete the task so that we can understand his knowledge.
