Hi Steve,
i was searchign for soem work i dd with Nolen - but his name is missing from WM.
of course HR or someone deleted which is fine - but we need to modify this ebcause i cannot access teh tasks that are associated with nolen user.
the user details still exist in teh database as we dont physically remove from teh table - so this delete can be UNDONE.
i think the simplest thing to do is mark the user as ARCHIVE so that everythign stays ok.
and if a new employee has the same name -that user can be marked as LIVE.
this will allow both user records to be accessible. this also means TM would need to show the word Archive next to any archived uer e.g. Nolen (Archived) so it can be distinguished from the live Nolen.
oscar will know whwat to do., its a very simple fix.

Even if we use scott.ug instead of scott.ih it doesnt solve the issue. According to oscar only way to achive the things you asked for is to rearrange all the WM coding with Unique id instead of email alias.
However now you will be able so see all the tasks assigned to old employees on WM. Please check the video.

It could be. I have to discuss this with Oscar. But using scott.ug instead of scott.ih will create some issues too :) like keeping track of all the new email addresses. Plus we maintain few excel sheet to record all employees username password etc, having a different email id will cause some trouble in that sheet too. We have to adjust.

i see what you mean, but new employees using teh same alias name can just have a new email address. e.g scott. ug instead of scott.ih

I have a long talk with Oscar . There are few complications. When WM was designed developers didnt keep that in mind that multiple employees can have the same name and email address. So they coded with email address in mind. But it should be designed with unique ID.We faced similar issues with IT ticket. New IT ticket went to our old email address,not to new one.
Oscar is looking into it now and will get back to me. I will discuss with you in more details later
ah yes, you are right. ignore archive - i totally forgot about this. jsut need to enable the other parts as described so that i can access all tasks to resigned/fired users.

We actually do not delete any employee's record from WM. We Mark the old user as "resigned" or "fired" similar to ARCHIVE that you suggested. So better stick with Resigned or fired instead of ARCHIVE.
Regarding assigned task not showing i will get it done with help of OScar and let you know.
