Here’s a video I was watching about RAID. I know you have RAID 1 setup on the file server which is great.
But have you thought about using RAID 0 for NC servers to speed up hard disk reading and writing time? It’s a simple solution that you could have implemented long time ago and doubled the hdd speed easily. Thus improving NC performance many percentage.
You should also look into the benefits of using 2 SSD as RAID 0 and see if that gives you higher speeds than a single SSD.
As I mentioned many times Steve, I need to see you being a leader and coming up with new ideas, new solutions, ALL THE TIME.

Rob I have installed and tested RAID today. With 2 hdd(120 gb and 80 gb). It worked.
I tested read/write speed. It's almost doubled.
There is one issue though. When I installed Windows 7,it took almost 2 hours. Other then that everything is great. I think with some fine tuning we can reduce windows installation time
I was concerned about if 2 different size hdd can be striped, but it worked
