Taking Care of Computers / Laptops

Hi All,
Since you are aware that almost all the laptops and devices are used on two shift each day, so you all should take care of your laptops regularly so that you can get the best performance from them.
Some tips I would like to share with you:
1. Clean your laptop and desks daily to keep it dust free.
Dusts will damage your laptops.
2. Do not eat/drink anything on your desks as this will increase the risk of water fall on your laptops.
3. Clear your browser catch/history at least once per week to get better performance from your browsers. (recommended to use CCleaner)
4. Turn off your laptops/devices (except ncomp server) while you will be going to lunch break. This will give them a break for cooling down. You can leave a message to your clients if required to say that you are going to lunch break so that they know why you are offline.
5. Do not ever store anything on your desktop/my documents. It makes the computer slow and also you may lose important files if windows get damaged for any reason.
6. Back up your files every week to the server.
7. No one is allowed to use any USB device/flash/pen drives (if not provided from office) on your office PC. We will stop USB flash drive access soon to your laptops. For sharing files within the office you all will see a Shared Drive (or Cart on some PC) on your computer where you can copy the files and give others the hyperlink.
8. Use a single browser and do not open too many tabs at a time.
I hope you all will do as per the above and will cooperate with us to keep the office equipment better. Any questions please let me know.
Kind Regards
Ross Ikbal
