ok so we have a plreminary idea of resource issues so far.

come nearer APril we will revisit and see what our "human resource levels are".

Most commonly flood occurs from April to September in BD. 

so it sounds like  there are specific months when this is a threat to us? what months is this?

Actually, we hardly can face such scenarios for home ofice for the upcoming 6/7 months as the winter is coming. 

And I found 2/3 staffs having desktop but didn't select the column, thus the number will get down; even Ian and Aiden are on leave, so we didn't get data from them. 

So, I think home office (if needed) may be manageable for our present manpower, but it may change from time to time as well.

The co working idea is nice, however it will be very expensive to manage to be honest. for example if we have to work from co working from 2 weeks, over 2 shifts, that is 16 hours a day, the cost will be extremely high.

I wonder if any manager has any idea of the cost for BD co working spaces in Sylhet?

however it does sound like overall, with the 10 laptopswe can give to stafff to take home, it will be possible to manage our current manpower MOSTLY.

i wonder what other suggestions we have on how to COVER teh reamining 6 staff (of course this number could change... it could be even higher).

Last time during flood and Covid lockdown,we allowed employees to take office laptops to their home.

But this time it will be tough. I checked and find out we have 10 laptops that we can allow employees to take their home and work. But we cannot accomodate remaining 6 people.

BTW this statistics will change. Half of the pi people will be on leave. Some employees might resign, we might get some new clients and our employee number will increase.

1 suggestion i mentioned while you were at BD. Co Working space. We can explore this option to learn more.

A few people with desktop computers didn't fill out column A since it only asked about laptops.

what i can see is 9 people dont have home backup PLUS  home computer/laptop. these are teh most needy and problematic people for us.

whereas 7 people dont have home backup, but yes they do have home computer/laptop but no backup on teh computer.

so they are half needy. this set of people could manage teh work whislt having some outages during work time.

so thats a total of 16 people who are problematic for us.

Short contingency plan have to be for all employees. Not only for PI project. I have done a survey on every employee. You can find the result in the below link

Some people have desktop but no power backup. Some have laptop but battery provided 10-20 minurs backup.

After alalysing, we need to provide 14 emplyees laptop.

so this means we need to DISCOVER... who has personal computer/laptop and who doesnt.

PLease conduct a simple survey = you can use outlook Poll to do that easily. its just an email where people Vote "have personal computer", or "dont have"


If we find most people have personal LAPTOPS then power issue will be overcome quite easily because laptops have backup.

So lets do ANOTEHR POLL to chekc who has home back up electricty and who doesnt have.

Same for home INTERNET... we should do a poll to check that data as well.

by looking at hte results of these poll question we can easily identify the overall sitaution and we will find a small group of people that we need to MANAGE solution for.

so lets go ahead and gather the info in a smart way using polls/voting

then we review and discuss solutions.

We will share google drive folder with employees. Employees will have google drive in their computer and they will add pi folder in their google drive.there wont be any disruption.

But computing issue will be tough. Those who do not have personal computer in their house will cause problem. It will be tough to give them laptops from office as we do not have enough laptops.

There is another big issue we need to consider, electricity issue.if there is too much rain and flood, we will face electricity black out. Most of the employees wont have isp, generator in their house.
