Hello Rob, As discussed yesterday, we need to purchase at least 1 DVR machine( 8 channel) and a 1TB HDD . 1 TB, 2 TB Hdd's we have in office are not in good condition. sometimes machine can detect the hdd, sometimes it wont and says no HDD detected. I have looked into Daraz and shortlisted 2 DVR machines. Hikvision and Dahua. Price is also smilar. between 3300-3500 TK. Both Have 1 year Warrenty. 1 TB HDD Will cost around 3000 TK (3 years) warrenty. I also made some calls in local market. We can purchase from local shops. Price will be 300-400tk less then Daraz. Hikvision is comparetevely better then Dahua.

Admin21st Nov, 2024 at 02:01 AM ok so how about this idea.... where we can make use of all teh existing mechanical HDD.
when one HDD gets filled.... remove this... store safely... with a note about date range... and insert new HDD into DVR. THis allows us to build a history of recording that can be used for any kind of situation if ever required.
and we can inspect any HDD easily simply by pluggig it into a SATA-USB cable and connecting to computer.

Steve (Shabab Zahir)14th Nov, 2024 at 08:06 AM Sorry mate but you are somehow mistaken. We do not have a single 1tb HDD (2.5 or 3.5) in our stock. We had 1 1TB 3.5 HDD which we used in 1 of the DVR recently. We also used another 500 GB HDD in 2nd DVR recently. 500GB storage gives us around 1.5 weeks of storage. Right now highest capacity spare HDD we have is 320 GB. Please check the attached image which is taken today. So we need a new 1 TB HDD for the new DVR. Regarding 1 or 2 DVR, right now we need 1 DVR. Which we will connect all the cameras of Big Hall and entrence. Remaining 2 old DVR is still working. But both have network issues.Means we cannot access from outside but can access with local ip. We will connect less important cameras to those.

Also those will able to store around 1 week of video clips.Thats why we need a big(1tb) HDD which will store at least 2-3 weeks od video clips |

we dont need HDD mate, i saw 100s of physical HDD in a box. we need to make use of these stuff. even i removed some to replace with SSD.
the DVR - yes go ahead and purchase i am comfortable with teh price.
